ABOUT US
After a trip to Cuba in 2002 where we both were first taught to dance Salsa we quickly became addicts. We were soon dancing several times a week and tearing round different clubs, workshops, and Salsa 'weekenders'.
We have been fortunate enough to have two of the best teachers in the country teach us Cross Body New York Style Salsa. We first started dancing Salsa with Cross Body On1, then moved onto the more stylish On2 New York Mambo Style.
Kay started dancing at an early age, and was trained in Latin American, Old Time and Modern Dance and competed mainly in Latin American Dance. She is IDTA trained, and has danced ballet, tap and also Belly Dancing. In more recent times Kay has danced with Colin at Congress and Internationally focusing more on the social and club aspects of Salsa and Latin Dance.
Colin came to dance a little later in life than Kay, after spending many years in competitive bodybuilding. This strict discipline has helped him learn Salsa. Being taught to dance in Cuba fueled his desire for Latin dance and this led to winning a Cha Cha competition there. Having spent several years learning to dance Salsa On1, he moved to dance On2, and is very motivated to dance at the Club and Social scene. Colin has danced with Kay at Congress and Internationally, and has also choreographed cabarets for International events.
