The ‘hot & spicy’ sound and dance of Salsa is a powerful and compelling fusion of African rhythms and Hispanic music derived from folk, gypsy, and Moorish roots.

It is a form of contemporary jazz-dance developed in Latin New York, where lashings of brassy American big-band sound and tastes of soul, funk, hip-hop, and world music were added to the Afro-Cuban origins. It is bright, fast, exciting, and sensual.

Salsa nightlife is a fantastic melting pot of open-minded and exuberantly happy people, dancing the night away with every spare moment they have.

We've traveled the world, and wherever we go, and we do mean WHEREVER we go, there's a thriving Salsa Dance Scene. Unfortunately not in your very own town. This is about to change. Salsa Picante want to bring to the Bridlington area a thriving Salsa Dance and Party Scene and make you part of it.  It's time to take charge, and go out dancing.  The Salsa nightlife scene is the best we have come across.

The fun is out there for you to have. Many of the dance scenes throughout the world are also graced with world class salsa bands that play live music, and we intend to bring top Salsa DJ's, Bands and guest teachers to our events to help spice things up.

Salsa Picante will be running regular classes and events, and hope you will join them and help put Bridlington on the Salsa map!
